Hijab

There is a low, here in Belgium who prohibits to wear the hijab in public services. We can wear it at school, but still, that's a decision of the school director ..
The reason they gave for this prohibition is that we have to be neutral.

As an hijabi I don't understand that 'legitimated' reason they gave for prohibiting the hijab.
It's not because I wear the hijab that I am a good Muslim, or no I'm not going to explain it like that:
Lets begin with the expression: 'L'habile ne fait pas le moine: The clothing doesn't make the monk'

It's not because I wear the hijab that I do know my religion or that I'm a good adherent or that I'm an extremist or whatever passes through your mind. When we look at the Muslims, we can sadly see a lot of groups in it, there is no one way of thinking between the Muslim communities. I mean come on, it's not because I am Muslim that I can't be neutral and I don't think it will kill someone to know I am Muslim !! It's not because I wear a hijab that I can't think clearly or that I'm oppressed!
And the reason that 'but there are 'some' Muslima's that are oppressed', excuse me but there are some non-veiled girls that are oppressed to: don't let me open the anorexia or bulimia 'illnesses' that are so 'symbolic' of our consumption society!

I know that just because they can't prohibit Islam they try to do it by prohibiting the hijab. What I don't understand is that it won't kill you to allow that, if it doesn't have a big signification for you, well it certainly has for me like it has for a lot of other persons!

Why does it cause you a problem if I want to chose which side of my body, You can see?! In what way could it harm you??

It's just a shame in a 'democracy' or even a 'secular'-country ^^
