Last day of #FestivalsDesLibertés

Today was the last day of the Festival so we tried to enjoy more :))

we wanted to go to Facebook Follies but we were late so we couldn't see the docu, but I think it's the moment to show you the 'artistic' side of the Festival :p. There were some pictures put on the walls, so I pictured a few ones, here they are:

Here you had the 'debate' place and it was also used as a 'concert' place

A boy is waiting for his father at the Masisi hospital in North-Kivu

Ooh look how interested I am :)
Ohw what these little men are suppose to mean, well I let you imagine :)

 ----->>

A non-industrial miner at the bottom of the mine drup in Lubumbashi goes to the portion where he can work with a group in the hope finding ore

I didn't wanted to show the pic that is with this one ^^

The program of today ^^

 Waiting for the debate ^^

So finally the debate began after the docu: Facebook Follies as introduction. It was an interesting debate but unfortunately we couldn't stay till the end because another documentary was going to begin.

The debate was about the fact that if we use to much the same source (like only use Fb, Google, Wikipedia ...) well we'll make the multinational have more power and they said it was also a kind of censure because of the info and so on. I'm sorry I don't remember anymore what they said, but they said they would put the power-point online but I can't find them, ones I will I'll put it here^^

Afterwards a group of young person got together to make a movie about the actual crises and what they thought about it. It were persons from all over the world like Vietnam, Bulgaria, Senegal, Canada and so on.
Their conclusion was that the crises was, in a kind of way, in our head (we have to change the way we are used to see,or used to do things too ^^

So there were some things they said that capt my intention

  • People are afraid of the unknown, and that's the situation right now
  • The crises is only important when the rich people are also blended in it
  • People became consumer and the crises is mental, because the way you live is the way you see life
  • You have a different point of view of the crises and that depends on of the place you take in the society
  • Here in Belgium we feel the crises less because we have a good social hulp, because every social cless is touched by the crises ^^
Here is a picture of the two groups that made two short vids

At the end of the day they gave the prices so the docus could be promoted a bit everywhere over the world. The docu that won the biggest prices was of course 5 broken cameras

It was about Bil'in, what I really admired was that it was like we were there, doing those protest with them together, I don't know how to explain it but it's an amazing docu that explains the 'every-day' situation of the occupied territories: how they feel, their fears, but also their bravure, their perseverance, their faith!

I admire the Palestinians for their patience, don't forget them in your payers!!

Afterwards we needed something to calm down, so we went to the concert of Antibalas, it was fulll (I don't like concerts that are full because I need my own space to enjoy you know :p) so we listened two songs and then we left ^^

I learned a lot those ten days, I hope next year it will be the same!! InsAllah :)

Peace and Love, Young SOul!!

Dear Palestine

Today was heartbreaking, I can't handle injustice (like a lot of persons) and to realize that it happens everyday in Palestine, like in a lot f other countries, it just makes me feel angry actually and at the same time also shows how blessed I actually am!!

When I see or even hear those injustice, my stomach just crisps I mean augh I just can't handle it!!

So today there were two docu's, the first one was a docu named 'My Neighbourhood'. It's the story tolled by Mohammed a kid who lives in Sheikh Jarrah with his grandmother and was obligated to quite his house because of the Israelite people who put them out of their house just to live there.
And it explains that the Jewish people came to help them and it shows that not all the Jewish people are 'bad' or are of the same mentality of the Israelis. (The term that they use the describe those persons is 'colonists', I don't know if it's only for me but when I hear that word it gives me a bad sentiment ^^)

This is the boy Muhammed

And this is one of the Israelite that protested and also got arrested because she was on the side of the 'Devil' namely the Palestinians

Interesting short film (here is a link

Afterwards we saw a revolting documentary about Hebron a city in Palestine. It's a docu that shows that even if there is not the same big violence as in Gaza the oppression is also very big there and not supportable! What they try to do is to make the life of the Palestinians so unlivable that the Palestinians will go out by their self. They do such things like (I'm serious when I say that I just couldn't believe what I sow man!) you know build trellises and so they try to stuck people in their home, there are a lot of places they just locked and the Palestinians can't get in. Some people have to do whole detour to get to their house just because everywhere is locked. Thy can't go to some places whit they cars and so on! But the worse is that the Israelite people can hit or even hurt the Palestinians but they can't hit back and the soldiers are all Israelite and they have as order to protect the Israelite people. So if a Palestinian tries to hit back they get arrested. So it is allowed for an Israelite to hit a Palestinian but not otherwise (look at the justice pff)

There were so much things that just you know revolted me that ghau

But it's not only physic it's also moral you know, the shame because of the way they treat people (even beast aren't treated like that). Imagine you're a father and someone yells at you or (what happened in the movie slaps you) in front of your family! When I saw that I felt so bad I mean, how can you have that rage in you, from where does it come! Seriously I don't understand !!

The name of the docu is : 'This is my land Hebron'

There is something they said during the movie that really kept my attention: 'The Palestinians are the most patient people on earth!' And when you see this docu you realize that it's true, I swear!
That's also due to Islam, I'm sure!!

Why all that anger ?!

Laugh best who laughs last !

the illegally built colonies on Palestinian territories

So strong people, strong woman!

Here is an introduction

Afterwards there was a debate with the persons who contributed to the documentary and yeah we had a talk with them they were from Italy so it was nice to talk with them and at the end we learned that we could go to Hebron to see the situation the Muslims live there every single day and night !!

Here you have a link four the Hebron-tour

Enjoy, Young SOul !

Speed, in search of lost time

Very interesting documentary about someone who tries to find out how it comes that we never have enough time to do everything we planned to do. ANd then he realizes that he's not the only one who's like that and that it's actually because of our society that we are use to do everything with a great speed, that we want to do everything very quickly and want to have done everything very fast. Then he realizes that actually society has made a system so that everything is also done like that!

It's a beautiful docu a 'must see', it made me realize what was really important and that I actually use things badly or over used some other things :p ^^

It's amazing all what we could cultivate our selfs!

The docu of today was so interesting it was about ecology, because I don't know a lot about ecology and that kind of stuff
BUT with this docu I understood a lot about the impact my 'normal' way of life actually has on the earth and it made me realize that I had to change my way of doing things you  know ^^

Ow btw the docu is called 'Voices of Transition'

There is something that they told about Cuba, because of the oil crisis they couldn't buy things anymore from the outside (because - how unbelievable it can be they imported their products (some vegetables) from the outside) nor use pesticide so they had to go back from a mono agriculture to a post industrial agriculture!

So now what did the government do they gave away free grounds so that the people could work the ground and you know make their own vegetables, so they could be independent!
So even if they haven't money, they aren't hungry And that you know is beautiful not perfect but good you know!!

Another interesting thing I learned and that I'm going to apply in my 'new mode of life' is that I'm going to buy more vegetables from the local markets, because 1 it will help the local markets to make more vegetables and at the same time it will avoid the pollution by 'stopping' the transport from other countries! and 2 ueh I forgot the second reason but whatever :D

Ow this guy was just perfect, that's the kind of neighbor you'd love to have because he knows everything about nature and so on, it's a so funny guy I swear phaha!!

this one was the kind of intellectual of the group, but he explained everything very good

After the docu I had a chat with a friend and yeah we talked about everything you know, about the fact that it was not understandable that farmers could starve of the hunger or about the politics: that people who go in the politics must not be payed because otherwise the only thing that would motivate them will be money and not the good being of the society. And he was like yeah we can do that but then we have to consider that all the things that they would do like going to the shop and the restaurant and so on must be free, if we consider that then it could be possible. Afterwards I had to explain him why I was wearing the scarf and you know he was like: "Form me religion is something personal, that you do alone and no one has to know it" and I was like" yeah but this scarf isn't anymore just a symbol of my religion for me it's also a personal thing you know, I feel more comfortable with it. With my scarf I also have more confidence and what I realized is that with my scarf people see more the me and don't you know feel more attracted by my physic, because the first thing to what people see and judge is the physic" And he just did a yes sign with his head, to say ow so that's your opinion you know :p

But yeah I had a great evening, afterwards an other crazy friend came and yeah that guy is so hilarious so yeah it was funny, big up for the next docu's !!

Love, Young SOul

I had great expectations with this documentary because it was about  Myanmar and I thought they would explain everything that was going on in Burma (like the Muslim Holocaust), but they didn't

It's a pity but they explained the situation that was going on there (what is quite logical): there was a lot of poverty but the people still stayed, you know with a positive mind, those persons had a lot of respect and a lot of serenity!! (It was so great even I was chocked ^^)
And that's also why I couldn't understand what they did to the Muslims (and still our doing..

There is also a big censure there, like tourist couldn't take pictures our even video's because if they did they could be arrested. The people there didn't even talk about their feelings (or what they thought about  the political situation there and so on) Quite shocking no?! That's what we here nearly only talk about :)
The people there were also' (humm I don't won't to offense anybody so I'm going to use carefully my words) they hadn't a lot of knowledge about the things that were going on in their country, because of everything that's going on there, like the 'authorities ^^

On this land by Omar Offendum

Beautiful, listen :)

Love it, Young SOul

A unkown side

The first time I hear that kind of things about the USA in the 'news'

here you have a link to the video

That's a side they don't really talk about (or maybe they do but I'm just so busy 'sleeping' that I don't even hear it ^^)

It surprised me and also made me sad ^^

(always the same who our the victims ..

We've neglected and still are neglecting the Roms

Learned a lot today about the Roms (the gypsies), I actually didn't know a lot about them but today was very instructive.

My parents always said that I had to distrust the gypsies because I don't know what reasons, not that I cared about what they said but I realized that I had to show them this docu 'A people Uncounted' so they could understand some things.

What really marked me was the fact that the Roms and the Tsigans never could stay at one place and that they were constantly rejected and that they always had to move, so that's why we think they are nomads but it's only because they couldn't stay (and that since the very early ages :/ ). There was a time they couldn't even buy  a market or a house and things like that.. And that's also why their musical side is very good, it's because that's the only thing they could keep with them!!

Okay what this lady explained was so hard to hear and to understand but that was the hard reality ..

I'll bring your attention to the tattooed numbers on her arm .. (Nazism^^

Enjoy Young SOul !

#WakeupAmerica #Wakeuptheworld

Today was so interesting because of the documentary 'Four Horsemen'

they set a link to everything that was going on now in the world you know and the four topics were:

  • Terrorism
  • Global warming
  • Poverty
  • Economic crises
It was so interesting to see that actually the system was really fu£ked up and that all the things they make us believe are just the biggest lies. What I really liked too, was that 'me' that doesn't understand a thing about economics well that day I understood everything (okay nearly everything :p). It was actually a very long documentary and the fact that we had that much information in one time was actually very thug :), but it was a very good documentary I recommend it to everyone. It's A MUST SEE!!

(the link between the 4 topics was (if I still remember..)

Because of the capitalistic society (who wants to only profit of every single thing detriment of everyone and only for their own benefice) everything actually goes wrong, they overuse the capacity of earth, because of them and actually also because of us (who became consumers) we always want more and more. That's also why there becomes a gap between poor and rich and that actually the rich become richer. I unfortunately forgot the link with terrorism but it was beautifully explained (damn I can't believe I forgot the most important)

What I really liked is also that they gave critics but at the same time they gave solutions, and that shows actually how bad intentions 'the rulers over the world' have, because I'm sure that if they just stopped thinking about their own ego, the world would be better!!

Or maybe a better world for everyone will remain an utopia .. ^^

Then you have The Narcicyst, also a very sweet guy he's a bit everything (Iraqi, American ..)
He has also very good songs, but the thing with this artist, what really kept my attention, is the fact that he did  studies in the politics and communication and that he now tries to you know make 'a better world'. He explained everything in a video on his page that I've put there, I recommend you to take a look and to enjoy.
OWHh I nearly forgot, the thing that also kept my attention is his style, it's eum, yeah it's special and unique, but I really like it (just take a look and listen and of course ENJOYY)
